Why Choose Trident?

Why Choose Trident?

In a highly competitive market, the Trident stands out as an affordable, feature rich middleweight, bursting with character and delivering an ultimately rewarding rider experience in an accessible and affordable package.

The Trident is A2 compliant when fitted with a restrictor kit, and makes an excellent first bike for new riders. With safety features including ABS, switchable traction control and a slip-assist clutch, the Trident provides an experience that will inspire confidence whilst offering a taste of Triumph's performance range.

Receiving a glowing 5 star rating from Motorcycle News' review team, the Trident is celebrated as one of the best middleweight naked bikes on the market today. So, what makes it so special?

Engine

Powered by a fine-tuned 660cc three-cylinder motor, the Trident delivers exhilarating performance with an iconic exhaust note. Closely related to the legendary Street Triple range, the Trident boasts sharp power delivery and lively gearing through a short ratio six-speed box.

MCN's review of the Trident compared the rider experience to the original 675 Street Triple - noting the overall ride, performance and sound of the bike was highly engaging and designed with fun in mind.

Producing 80bhp at 10,250rpm and reaching peak torque of 64Nm at 6,250rpm - the Trident is a perfect size for cutting through town or enjoying the Scottish countryside.

Frame

Constructed using a tubular steel frame, the Trident sheds unnecessary weight in order to simultaneously deliver incredible handling and a manageable weight for new riders.

Featuring Showa upside-down forks up front and a Showa RSU monoshock with adjustable preload on the rear, the Trident is well-equipped for tackling tough twists and turns with ease.

MCN noted that the Trident was confidence-inspiring when tackling banking corners at speed - a testament to the solid suspension setup and smooth power delivery of the 660cc triple.

Tech Features

The Trident offers significant value for money when it comes to technology, convenience and ride-assist features.

Features such as switchable traction control, road and rain riding modes, My Triumph Connectivity, self-cancelling indicators and an immobiliser give the Trident an excellent array of functionality - making it one of the best equipped motorcycles for it's price-point.

LED lights all-round and the multifunction colour TFT screen afford the Trident extra visibility and an engaging user interface - premium features more commonly found on larger, flagship motorcycles.
